Poetry from Week 2

Yellow like a blasted hot sun
like wild fire.
Tastes like spices burning all the way down.
Tastes like burnt tomatoes.
Exploding overcooked cheese balls
and smoked suns burning
out of my nose.

Zeus is the god of the sky
like an eagle watching from up high
Poseidon is the god of the sea.
like a seagull hovering above the sea
to find a feed.
Athena is the goddess of tragedies
like me trying to find a way
to get rid of my peas.

Baby blues soft like the bright sky.
Speeding waves crashing though
the rocks.
Freshness spreading through the whole
of Auckland
hearing the wind swishing past.

Anger is red like living hell
raging through my veins
and crashing everything
in it’s way.
