Room 5 have been exploring poetry of colour and emotion. Here are some of our first attempts.
Crying is grey like heavy rain
falling from the sky.
It makes me feel like there is no one to turn to.
Shyness is baby blue
like the sea rocking gently
also like a bird flying high
into the baby blue sky.
Joy is yellow
yellow like the sun shining on me.
Sorrow is blue like the cascading waves
and also like the water dripping down.
It slowly slides through my body
It reminds me of the time
I fell and scraped my leg,
It makes me feel sad
like a lonely boy
It makes me want to cry.
Depression is grey
like dusty old cobwebs
like the empty grey sky
on a rainy day.
Crying is grey like heavy rain
falling from the sky.
It makes me feel like there is no one to turn to.
Shyness is baby blue
like the sea rocking gently
also like a bird flying high
into the baby blue sky.
Joy is yellow
yellow like the sun shining on me.
Sorrow is blue like the cascading waves
and also like the water dripping down.
It slowly slides through my body
It reminds me of the time
I fell and scraped my leg,
It makes me feel sad
like a lonely boy
It makes me want to cry.
Depression is grey
like dusty old cobwebs
like the empty grey sky
on a rainy day.
